Product Engineer – Boat Builder

Position Summary:
Join a dynamic team as a Product Engineer, where you'll design and develop high-quality marine products while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires a balance of precision and adaptability—some projects demand intense focus and detailed execution, while others require quick problem-solving and troubleshooting in a fast-moving environment. Collaboration across departments, suppliers, and contractors is key to delivering innovative solutions and maintaining product excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer new products to enhance customer value while meeting regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain 3D models and Digital Mockups (DMU) aligned with manufacturing processes.
- Lead approvals for vendor and fiberglass parts, coordinating with suppliers and contractors.
- Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for continuous product improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost, quality, and production efficiency.
- Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) throughout all engineering phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Solid Works or Rhino preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Willingness to take on tasks beyond core responsibilities to support team success.
