Job Purpose |
An Aircraft Mechanic IV Leadman – Mechanic Performing repairs, modifications and installations on C-12 aircraft. Ability to troubleshoot, rig and operational check/test engines: P&W PT6A-41, PT6A-42, PT6A-60 PT6A-65 turbo props. Operates ground support equipment and flight line vehicles. Must be able to read, write, and interpret instructions, technical manuals and/or directives necessary for the accomplishment of job assignment. Must be proficient at sheet metal repairs. Supervises crew of mechanics. The Aircraft Mechanic IV Leadman reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities |
The primary functions of an "Aircraft Mechanic IV" and which can be performed without direct supervision include: · Performs tasks as assigned /directed by Maintenance Supervisor, and/or Site Manager in accordance with instructions, applicable technical data, manuals, and directives. · Evaluates aircraft discrepancies to identify proper methods for repair. Identifies necessary parts, materials and tooling requirements to complete task. · Utilize manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, Maintenance Engineering Directives, schematics, drawings, blueprints, charts and other applicable publications to install, test, troubleshoot and ensure aircraft modifications are accomplished in a timely manner. · Inspect for corrosion, treat and repair discrepancies. Perform touch up painting and apply decals and labels. Prepare aircraft components for paint. · Remove and replace engines, accomplish engine rigging and test. · Comply with and follow established standards of workmanship, safety, quality, and production. · Supervises work crew and delegates tasks to meet completion deadlines. Ensures material is ordered to meet those deadlines.

· Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license required · 10 years C-12 (A200/B200/B300/1900) experience. · 10 years Pratt & Whitney turbo prop engine experience (PT6A-41, PT6A-42, PT6A-60, PT6A-65) · 10 years’ experience of Airframe, mechanical and electrical systems · 2 years lead / supervisory experience
