CBA - Aircraft Issuer - AHTS - NAS Whiting Field - Milton, FL

V2X is looking for a dependable and organized Aircraft Issuer to support the Advanced Helicopter Training System (AHTS) at NAS Whiting Field. The Aircraft Issuer plays a critical role in ensuring aircraft readiness and availability, managing issuance, tracking, and return of aircraft for flight operations. This role supports the efficient flow of daily operations, helping to maintain safety and mission effectiveness for training Navy and Marine Corps helicopter pilots. MUST HAVE PREVIOUS SAFE FOR FLIGHT CERTIFICATION.

Job Details / Position Summary

• Assigns aircraft to flight schedule .
• Reviews ADB's for completions and accuracy and certifies aircraft safe for flight.
• Coordinates with government on flight schedule changes and aircraft assignments.
• Coordinates with line to determine aircraft status, fueling and turn around status.
• Have a basic understanding of Naval Aviation Maintenance Data Collection System (MDCS) and be able to utilize two-way radio system.
• Fill out Visual Information Display System/Maintenance Action Forms (VIDS/MAF) from pilots or maintenance technicians in accordance with existing instructions.
• Responsible to record and report aircraft discrepancies to proper work center, maintain aircraft registers, status boards, and process aircraft discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain Aircraft Discrepancy Book (ADB), VIDS Board and VIDS/MAF files.
• May be required to use hazardous materials in performance of assigned duties.
• Have a basic understanding of Naval Aviation Maintenance Data Collection System (MDCS) .
• Be able to utilize two-way radio and/or intercom system.
• Have knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series and other applicable Navy Instructions and Company Instructions.
• Must be able to interface with Government Representatives.
• Must speak in a clear, concise manner.
• Must be able to pass requirements and be certified to release aircraft for flight.
• Must be able to read, speak, write legibly and understand the English language.
  
  

Major Job Activities

• Screen all aircraft discrepancy books prior to releasing aircraft for flight.
• Ensure all downing VIDS/MAFs are completed and correctly documented and that aircraft is safe for flight in accordance with OPNAV Instructions, manuals and procedures.
• Keep abreast of professional and technical developments concerning your work center.
• You must be thoroughly familiar with all requirements contained in Naval Instructions, manuals and procedures which relate to assignment of aircraft for scheduled missions.
• Assign aircraft to flight schedule ensuring that aircraft material condition is matched to the assigned mission and aircraft is capable of performing that mission with existing systems.
• May be required to perform simple computer input functions.
• Responsible to Maintenance Control Supervisor in performing those duties assigned.
• Immediately notify the Maintenance Control Supervisor of changes in aircraft status.
• Ensure completion of the aircraft flight record form and coordinate the disposition of all related documents.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.
• Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.
• Responsible for adhering to Company Tool Control Program.
• Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment.
• Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
• Assist when directed to ensure safety, security and preservation of Government owned and Company owned equipment.
• Perform other reasonably related incidental duties when directed within the job classification.

Physical Activities

• This classification activity is usually accomplished in an office-like environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office activities.

Qualifications

• Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a Graduate of Maintenance Control Management-OOMA course (C-555-0053) or equivalent.
• MUST HAVE PREVIOUS SAFE FOR FLIGHT CERTIFICATION.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Experience:
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years documented hands on general experience with two (2) years specialized experience in Naval Aviation Maintenance Control processes and procedures.
