The Assistant Chief of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day guidance and coordination for fire protection functions ensuring effective and economical operations of all activities. Functional work includes, but is not limited to, planning and organization of work, responding to emergency calls, investigating fires, monitoring the Fire Control Center, training personnel, completing required reports and plans to assure the daily operational effectiveness of the department. The qualified candidate shall report to the Fire Chief should develop a training program to ensure all Fire / EMS responders are certified by the DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification program IAW DoDM 6055.06, AFI 32-2001, Air Force F&ES EMS Playbook, and / or a certification program approved by the COR. The Contractor shall ensure that all training is scheduled, tracked, and performed IAW the Air Force Fire and Emergency Services Training Program (FESTP) and documented in FES-IMS. Minimum training requirements will be contingent on firefighter’s Tier and duty position.
This position is contingent based on contract award.

Responsibilities
Major Job Activities :
- Works as a team to ensure effective and efficient operation of the Fire Services Support Department in accordance with the performance work statement and Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s Air Force Fire and Emergency Services Training Program (AF EMSTP), and AFI 32-2001 for all recurring certification and training requirements. Trainers shall record all training on AF Form 1085 in FES-IM .
- Implements operational policy, procedures and develops contingency plans.
- Ensures completion of required reports, inspections, plans and documentation as outlined in the performance work statement.
- Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, leading by example, and working as a team to provide guidance to firefighters and support personnel.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive quality and safety program in compliance with V2X, OSHA and United States Airforce requirements.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program in accordance with Fire Prevention Program IAW AFI 32-2001 requirements. Ensures all training is documented in the system of record.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
- Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
- Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Environment :
Work will be indoors and outdoors. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests. 100% Overseas AssignmentQualifications
E ducation / Certifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent.Degree in fire safety or related field preferred. One year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.Must be Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor III, Fire Inspector II, and Hazmat Incident Commander, and Airport Fire Fighter certified.Training must be accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or National Professional Qualification System (NPQS).Must have NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800.Must have current National Registry Emergency Medical Technician.Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.Must pass and maintain entry-level physical examination in accordance with NFPA 1582Must have a current, valid U. S. Passport and Driver’s License (able to drive manual transmission).Must have and maintain a valid U.S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing and background checks.Experience / Skills :
