What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Restoration Technician position at V3 Companies?
Our Ecological Restoration team is growing and we are looking for an Environmental Restoration Technician to join us in our West Chicago, IL office. We have some exciting projects in the pipeline with more on the horizon! Qualified candidates should be strong communicators and multi-taskers who can work on several projects at once.

Here are some of the things we see you working on :
Carry-out tasks related to ecosystem restoration and management.
- Application of herbicide (hand wicking, backpack spraying, etc.).
- Perform general field labor and manual weed removal by hand, mowing, weed whipping.
- Installation of native plant plugs and erosion control.
- Conduct brush clearing, tree cutting and general chainsaw work.
- Participate in prescribed burning.
- Coordinate with construction foreman, project managers and ecologists.
- Assist with other duties as assigned or requested.
- Facilitate site assessments, field monitoring, and reporting.
- Project administration (define and input work orders, daily logs, and contract administration).
- Work hours (average) range from 30-60 hours / week and varies with seasons.
