Job Title: Physical Therapist
Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension
Location: Saranac Lake, NY, 12983
Shift: 8hr Day -40hr/week
Summary:
- The Physical Therapist performs a comprehensive evaluation on each patient and designs individual programs of treatment.
- The goal is to guide patients suffering from injury or disease towards full restoration of function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.
- In addition, they promote patients' overall fitness and health.
- Physical therapists work with health-care teams.
- Practicing within the scope of New York State Law.
- Works within multidisciplinary treatment teams.
- Supervises PT Assistants and techs.
Requirements
- Active NY License
- EMR: Meditech
- 2 years’ experience
- BLS
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Physical Therapy.
- Requires heavy lifting, pushing/pulling and positioning as per patient type and situations.
- Exposure to workplace hazards such as bodily fluids is to be expected.
- Exposure to all those encountered when having contact with inpatient/outpatient populations.
