Job Duties
The Virginia IT Agency (VITA) is currently seeking an Internal IT Systems Analyst within its Internal IT Division.
This position serves as the primary link between business stakeholders at VITA and VITA’s Internal IT division, facilitating clear communication and alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
Responsibilities include gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into detailed IT system specifications while ensuring these systems effectively support business goals.
Additionally, this role leads process improvement initiatives and the implementation of technology solutions, leveraging expertise in business analysis, systems analysis, process evaluation, and project management to optimize current and future operations in alignment with Internal IT management's key strategies.

Minimum Qualifications
Considerable experience and ability to identify business needs, conduct interviews/workshops, and gather functional and technical requirements.
Experience analyzing and improving business processes and workflows for efficiency and automation.
Proven ability in translating business requirements into technical specifications, process models, diagrams, and wireframes.
Effective and proficient at ensuring IT solutions align with business requirements, minimizing revisions and discrepancies.
Highly skilled in managing project timelines, scope, and resources while coordinating between stakeholders.
Strong ability to bridge communication between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure alignment at all levels and has ability to communicate technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience assisting in system rollouts, providing user support, and resolving transition-related issues.
Knowledge of defining testing criteria, collaborating with QA teams, and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Strong ability to analyze business data, ensure data integrity, and develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs for stakeholders.
Expertise in assessing existing IT systems and recommending improvements based on business needs.
Experience leading process improvements and implementing technology solutions to enhance operations.
Demonstrated ability to create training materials and effectively train business users on new systems and processes.
Additional Considerations
Familiarity and experience supporting and working with VITA applications is highly desired.
Previous experience with VITA application security best practices, development practices, code reviews, change management and maintaining application performance standards is highly desirable.
