The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as an IT Security Officer.
Virginia IT Agency (VITA) helps ensure the Commonwealth of Virginia provides a safe, secure technology environment enabling state agencies to accomplish their respective missions.
The Commonwealth Security & Risk Management (CSRM) Directorate of VITA oversees the technology environment and in doing so, offers significant benefits to agencies of the commonwealth. CSRM is currently seeking an IT Auditor to help perform risk-based IT Security Audits for agencies electing to use VITA’s Centralized IT Security Audit Service.

Minimum Qualifications
Prior experience working in a public accounting firm as an IT Auditor following Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) and/or in an internal audit department following the International Professional Practices Framework (Red Book).
Working knowledge of information security standards and controls with an in-depth knowledge of Commonwealth of Virginia IT Security Standard SEC530 and/or NIST 800-53.
Ability to apply information technology governance frameworks such as COBIT.
Ability to evaluate controls over IT infrastructure, operating systems, network components, and business applications.
Experience writing audit reports and presenting results to senior management.
Possess one or more of the following professional certifications: Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, or Certified Information Systems Auditor.
