Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter with at least 2 years of aviation painting experience to join our team in Northern Alabama. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and be able to work on a variety of projects.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting such as sanding, scraping, and patching
- Apply paint or other finishes using sprayers, brushes, or rollers
- Mix and match colors for touch-ups and complete projects
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
- Work efficiently to meet project deadlines
SPECIFICALLY: Coats surfaces of aircraft with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices, removes old paint from aircraft, using liquid paint remover and scraper.
Requirements
- Experience in aircraft painting required (Military aircraft is a huge plus)
- Proficiency with hand tools for painting and surface preparation
- Knowledge of basic math for measuring and calculating paint quantities
- Ability to handle materials safely and maintain a tidy workspace
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for accurate work
- Nice-to-have skills include machining, assembly, fabrication, and warehouse experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
