Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Grade Setter with expertise in using and maintaining GPS and laser grade setting equipment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our team, contributing to the success of various construction projects through accurate and efficient topographic data collection and analysis. When not performing grade setting tasks, employee with support with heavy equipment operation and other civil construction related activities.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Topcon GPS equipment and drone technology to conduct topographic surveys and gather precise elevation data.
- Set and maintain grade control points, ensuring accuracy in grading and construction projects.
- Collaborate with surveying and construction teams to plan and execute topographic surveys based on project requirements.
- Calibrate and maintain surveying equipment, including Topcon GPS devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Analyze and interpret survey data to generate detailed and accurate topographic maps.
- Provide on-site support for construction crews, offering expertise in grade setting and surveying as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in surveying technology and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Grade Setter in construction and surveying projects.
- Proficiency in using GPS equipment and for topographic surveys.
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and techniques.
- Ability to interpret and analyze survey data to produce accurate topographic maps.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision and accuracy.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and protocols.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant certification in surveying or a related field is a plus.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
