The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of Pride of Baltimore, Inc. The Executive Director reports to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, and is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives.
In program development and administration, the Executive Director will :
- Assure that Pride of Baltimore II has a long-range strategy that achieves its mission, and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress.
- Prepare and lead an annual development plan that includes major gifts, foundation, and corporate relations, and annual giving to build endowment and fund overall operations and programs.
- Determine the annual sailing and ports schedule consistent with the fundraising strategy and in consultation with board of directors
- Provide leadership in developing program, organizational and financial plans with the Board of Directors and staff, and carry out plans and policies authorized by the Board
- Promote active and broad participation by volunteers in all areas of the organization’s work.
- Negotiate contracts, appearance fees, and charters
- Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
