About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Analytics Engineer or Senior Analytics Engineer to join our growing Data Team. In this role, you’ll build and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines and models to empower key business decisions across Vacatia. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with department leads, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights and elegant data solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Build & Maintain Pipelines: Develop efficient, scalable ELT pipelines using Fivetran, dbt, and other tools
- Data Modeling: Create and maintain robust data models in Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy and usability
- Analytics Engineering: Develop transformations and visualizations with dbt, Snowflake, Hightouch, and Tableau
- Reporting & Insights: Build dashboards, deliver analyses, and uncover trends across performance, inventory, revenue, and finance
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with business leaders to understand needs and shape data solutions that drive results
- Continuous Improvement: Provide strategic, data-driven feedback to help improve Vacatia’s operations
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or data analysis
- Strong proficiency in SQL and modern data stack tools (dbt, Snowflake, Tableau, Hightouch, etc.)
- Experience with ELT processes and tools like Fivetran or equivalent
- Deep understanding of data modeling, governance, and transformation best practices
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, solve problems, and surface actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- High attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy
Bonus Points For
- Experience in hospitality, travel, or real estate sectors
- Familiarity with Airflow or orchestration tools
- Knowledge of experimentation frameworks or A/B testing
What You’ll Accomplish in Your First 90 Days
- 30 Days: Get comfortable with our tools and environment, make basic reporting contributions, and explore Vacatia’s business model
- 60 Days: Support pipeline fixes, contribute to modeling discussions, and collaborate on mid-level projects
- 90 Days: Build new data sources, lead model development, and take ownership of roadmap-level tasks

Salary : $140,000 - $175,000
