Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring the integrity of the general ledger. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in bookkeeping software. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare and file tax documents in compliance with regulations
- Utilize double entry bookkeeping methods to maintain accurate records
- Conduct account reconciliation to verify balances and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with corporate accounting tasks as needed
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes
Experience
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online is required.
- Property management, specifically short term rentals is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of debits and credits in accounting practices
- Previous experience as a clerk or in a similar bookkeeping role is preferred
- Familiarity with corporate accounting practices is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
