Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting efficient financial operations. This role requires hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, accruals, revenue recognition, and payroll processing.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Bank Reconciliations: Monitor and reconcile all company bank accounts to ensure accuracy and timely identification of discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR): Process vendor invoices, manage payments, track receivables, and maintain vendor and customer records.
- Accruals: Prepare and record monthly accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate financial reporting and expense matching.
- Revenue Recognition: Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with company policy and applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS).
- Payroll: Assist with payroll processing, verify accuracy of employee compensation, and ensure compliance with tax and labour regulations.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Post journal entries, perform account analysis, and support monthly close activities.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare reports for management, assist with audits, and ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, OneStream)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team
Salary : $35 - $40
