What you'll be doing:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team of 8, including 5 direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee all accounting operations, including journal entries, payroll, commissions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, statutory reporting, banking, and daily operations.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies, updating financial accounting policies as needed.
- Maintain and enforce a monthly close calendar, meeting all deadlines for reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and lead initiatives to identify operational cost efficiencies.
- Lead the automation of accounting system integrations with the CRM, acting as project manager to ensure successful implementation.
What you'll bring :
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA Designation is required.
- SaaS Experience: Proven expertise in subscription-based revenue models, including a deep understanding of SaaS financial practices.
- Systems Automation & Process Improvement: Strong focus on driving automation and continuously improving financial processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly to various stakeholders, including non-financial team members.
- Advanced Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel, including expertise with functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Technical Tools Experience: Familiarity with systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce is a strong plus.
