What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Vaco by Highspring?
Essential Duties Include:
- Lead preparation of internal financial reporting, including variance and publicly traded peer analyses, on a monthly basis.
- Use existing models to budget and forecast capital expenditures and operating results. Organize and lead meetings with stakeholders to develop and communicate these forecasts.
- Complete annual budget, and accumulate, compile and project financial information for the following fiscal year based on historical patterns and trends, future projects as well as knowledge of business functions.
- Perform ad hoc internal reporting and research as assigned. Examples include, contract evaluation and analysis, capital project analysis and shareholder and company stock analyses.
- Maintain spreadsheet model and perform reasonableness testing to analyze gross margin.
- Accumulate, compile, and calculate financial information to prepare various regulatory reports.
- Prepare analysis and information that enables monthly closing activities and support other core accounting functions.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and at least 5 years of public or industry accounting experience.
- Exemplary decision-making skills and business acumen.
- Ability to work independently, seek out opportunities to improve processes, and drive projects to completion.
- Experience with enterprise financial systems, ability to learn new tasks quickly, and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
- Bachelor's level accounting degree/comparable field of study.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA), preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
