What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Reporting Manager position at Vaco by Highspring?
Dallas, TX - Hybrid (onsite 2-3X/week)
One of Vaco's legacy PE clients is looking to onboard a Financial Reporting Manager due to growth of the company and department. We've placed several folks with the organization and have received great reviews on culture and leadership!
Primary focus for the role will be external reporting (bank-related, mgmt. reporting), technical accounting related to acquisitions (ASC 805) and purchase accounting. Although this is an individual contributor role for the time being, they will explore adding direct reports as they continue to grow the department. Open to Senior Reporting Accountants looking to "take that next step" as far as responsibilities go.
Compensation range: $120-135K (flat salary)
Day-to-Day
- Primarily responsible for completing and overseeing the Company's consolidation reporting process, producing internal and external financial reporting packages, including supporting schedules and quarterly financial statement footnotes, and also applies critical analysis of changes in account balances.
- Assists in project implementations; leads the coordination of the year-end audit, banking and compliance audit, and manages the Company's compliance initiatives.
- Completes technical accounting research and evaluation to recommend and document the Company's accounting positions and policies.
- Collaborates with accounting department leadership and staff to support overall department goals and objectives.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
