HR Business Partner - Union & Field Operations

We are seeking a bilingual Human Resources Business Partner to support a large, distributed field workforce across major metro and coastal markets in the southeastern U.S. This role plays a vital part in shaping workforce strategy, improving employee retention, and serving as a hands-on advisor for frontline leadership and field operations.
The workforce includes both unionized and non-union hourly employees across several high-volume service locations. The role will require close partnership with local management teams to execute HR strategies that align with both organizational and compliance objectives.
Role Overview
This position is 100% onsite, based in Atlanta, Georgia, with 40-50% travel to the Carolinas. Candidates must reside in Atlanta or Greater Atlanta Metro Area within close proximity. Remote or relocation candidates will not be considered as this is an urgent hiring need.
The HRBP will operate as a trusted strategic partner to local leaders, providing expert guidance on labor relations, employee engagement, and workforce performance within a highly metric-driven environment.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
Desired Skills and Experience
7 years of HR experience, ideally supporting multi-location or field-based operations.
Strong exposure to union environments and labor relations processes is highly preferred.
Deep understanding of workforce metrics and performance frameworks in high-volume, service-based environments.
Able to operate with autonomy, maintain boundaries, and communicate clearly and consultatively across all levels.
Bachelor's degree required; HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are a plus.

- Deliver HR support for multi-site field teams, including both union and non-union environments.
- Guide and implement strategic HR initiatives such as workforce planning, organizational design, employee engagement, and talent development.
- Navigate labor relations matters with discretion, including grievance support, union interactions, and policy interpretation.
- Analyze workforce metrics (e.g., turnover, lead time, engagement scores) and develop solutions in partnership with operational leaders.
- Lead employee relations efforts including coaching, performance management, investigations, and corrective action.
- Prepare field teams for cyclical ramp-ups through proactive planning, onboarding strategy, and talent retention efforts.
- Collaborate with other HRBPs and engagement specialists to drive consistent field support across the region.
- 7 years of HR experience, ideally supporting multi-location or field-based operations.

- Base salary: $100,000-$110,000, commensurate with experience
- 15% discretionary annual bonus
