Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Interim Controller to manage day-to-day controllership duties for a manufacturing organization. This 6-month engagement requires a strong background in accounting and finance, particularly within manufacturing environments, and experience with multiple ERP systems. The Interim Controller will also assist in system implementation and upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, variance reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights to senior management.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives.
- Assist in the implementation and upgrades of ERP systems, providing expertise to optimize financial workflows and reporting capabilities.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Train and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Serve as a point of contact for external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and compliance reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with significant experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience with multiple ERP systems; familiarity with implementation processes is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Duration: 6 months

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
