Medical AR Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our healthcare finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing insurance claims, following up on outstanding balances, and ensuring timely reimbursement for medical services. This role requires strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance processes, and revenue cycle management.
Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Process and track medical insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
• 
  Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding payments.
• 
  Review claim denials and appeals, identifying necessary corrections and resubmitting claims.
• 
  Communicate with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams to resolve billing issues.
• 
  Post payments and adjustments accurately to patient accounts.
• 
  Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant healthcare policies.
• 
  Generate and analyze AR reports to track trends and improve collections processes.
• 
  Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.
• 
  Collaborate with medical billing and coding staff to ensure accurate charge capture.
  

Qualifications:

• 
  High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or a similar role.
