The Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and assigning appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS classification systems. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate medical billing and compliance with regulatory and insurance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze medical records and documentation to assign accurate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services.
Translate healthcare provider documentation into standardized codes.
Ensure codes are used correctly during the medical billing process, including for insurance reimbursement.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and insurance regulations (including Medicare and Medicaid).
Work closely with physicians, billing teams, and other healthcare staff to clarify documentation and coding issues.
Conduct audits and reviews to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with internal and external guidelines.
Assist in resolving coding-related denials and rejections from payers.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
