Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Operations:
Validate and reconcile bi-weekly payroll data, ensuring all timesheets, time-off requests, and reimbursements are approved prior to processing
Conduct pre-payroll checks in alignment with internal payroll controls and checklists
Accurately calculate and process bi-weekly and out-of-cycle payrolls
Collaborate with HR to maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure payroll readiness for new hires and terminations
Process bonus, severance, and commission payments
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
Manage payroll deductions including garnishments and levies
Assist with payroll-related audits and generate payroll reports for HR and Accounting as needed
Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Availability required on payroll processing days (every other Wednesday); PTO restrictions apply
Monitor and respond to payroll-related tax notices
Download and organize tax return documents for internal use
Maintain an updated online tax library
Respond to mandatory government surveys and collaborate with the accounting team to gather required data
Education & Experience Requirements:
Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing full-cycle payroll
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred, but not required
Experience with BambooHR payroll system or a similar platform
Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 plus benefits
