Real Estate Fund Staff Accountant

Job Posting: Real Estate Fund Accountant
Location: Birmingham, Alabama

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Real Estate Fund Accountant to join our team. This role involves accounting and financial reporting for various real estate entities, offering flexibility to work remotely up to two days a week. You will work closely with multiple teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare quarterly GAAP financial statements for 10 real estate funds, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with transaction closings, including acquisitions and dispositions.
• Prepare monthly internal financial statements.
• Manage weekly cash and capital position reports and monitor cash flow needs.
• Assist with audits and special reporting projects.
• Collaborate with teams across Real Estate Investment, Tax, Internal Audit, Treasury, and more.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; excellent communication skills.
• Experience in Real Estate, Tax, or REITs is a plus.
