Senior Staff Accountant

We are working with a PE backed company in the manufacturing industry who is looking to for a highly motivated and detail oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join their small close-knit team. This individual will be responsible for analyzing financial data, cost accounting, accounts receivable/payable, and financial reporting to support strategic decision making for the company as a whole. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks while supporting operational decision-making.
This role is onsite 5 days a week in the Oxford/Henderson NC area. Relocation assistance will NOT be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Compile and analyze financial data related to production costs, ingredient pricing, and operations.
- Support management reporting through dashboards, variance analysis, and presentations.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting by organizing and reviewing key cost data.
- Monitor cost fluctuations and maintain cost models for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Contribute to cost-benefit analyses for new products, process changes, and supplier negotiations.
- Process and verify invoices for materials, equipment, and overhead.
- Support transaction reconciliations and help resolve discrepancies.
- Track vendor payments and ensure timely invoice processing.
- Maintain cost-related financial records and support audit activities.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial procedures and documentation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a finance or accounting support role, preferably in manufacturing or food production.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems), and data analysis tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines, and effective communication skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and AP/AR functions.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
