Title:Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting
Location: San Diego - Hybrid, 4 days mandatory onsite
Salary:$80-115k Bonus RSUs
Position Overview:
- Collaborate with Finance leads to provide guidance on accounting for operating expenses, ensuring accurate classification and accounting through detailed reviews.
- Preparing and submitting quarterly, annual, and other financial reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
- Collaborating with business units and corporate functions to assess and document the appropriate accounting treatment for complex and/or new types of transactions.
- Work closely with the M&A and technical accounting teams to support the accounting for M&A transactions.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including variance analysis, journal entry reviews, and preparing/executing executive presentations.
- Prepare and present explanations for balance sheet fluctuations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- At least 2/3 years of experience with a Big Four accounting firm and/or in Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting, or a similar field.
- Advanced degrees in a relevant field may substitute for up to two years of work experience (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years).
- Experience in the technology sector.
- Familiarity with XBRL tagging.
- Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency with systems such as WDesk, Oracle, HFM, and Microsoft applications.
- Experience working in large, matrixed organizations.
- Proven leadership in a technical accounting role, with or without direct reports.
- CPA Certification or equivalent.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
Salary : $80,000 - $115,000
