A manufacturer in East LA is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team. The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for cost analysis, reviewing production costs, reporting, and inventory management. What do you need for this Senior Cost Accountant role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 4 years of cost and/or inventory accounting experience
- Advanced Excel
- Analyze costs of productions, labor, overhead, and materials
- Create, maintain, and further develop systems and processes
- Cost reporting and variance analysis
- Inventory valuation, reconciliation, and reporting
- Conduct cycle counts
- Analyze discrepancies and propose corrective changes
- Analyze cost trends and look for ways to reduce costs
- Assist with cap ex, new product development, pricing, and BOM
- Evaluate cost control measures and implement them to improve processes
- Perform cost-benefit analyses to optimize efficiencies and productivity
- Assist with compliance, internal control development, and the financial statement audit related to cost accounting

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
