Staff Accountant(Part-time or Full-time)
We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our client'saccounting team. This role will be responsible for key accounting functions, including cash receipts, fixed assets, prepaids, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.This role can be part-time or full-time.
- Cash Receipts: Process and apply incoming cash payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Fixed Assets: Maintain and track fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
- Prepaids: Monitor and reconcile prepaid expenses, ensuring proper amortization and allocation.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.
- Month-End Close: Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
- General Ledger Accounting: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Support external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Experience:1 yearof full-cycle accounting experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP accounting systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Familiarity with GAAP and accounting best practices.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
