The Supply Chain System Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the technical architecture that supports the organization's supply chain processes. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, IT, and external vendors, to ensure system solutions align with business goals and operational requirements. The Architect will create scalable, integrated solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and performance across the entire supply chain, from procurement to delivery.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in systems design, solution architecture, and supply chain technologies such as SAP ERP systems, ARIBA, Tactical/Predictive Procurement, Inventory Management, and demand planning tools. The Architect will ensure the technical architecture supports both current and future needs, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead governance and standardization activities to ensure technology architecture compliance. Contribute to selecting hardware, software, and product standards in the supply chain domain. Participate in system architecture reviews and enforce adherence to architectural principles.
Collaborate with senior supply chain leadership to align system architecture with business objectives and long-term strategies. Evaluate the organizational and financial impacts of technology architecture, ensuring it supports competitive positioning and innovation.
Drive the evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks for the system. Stay current with technology trends and market developments, and advise on emerging technology investments.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient system designs. Design and implement end-to-end system architectures that meet business needs while maximizing security, performance, and resilience.
Define system integration strategies and ensure interoperability between system components. Provide strategic guidance and support during system implementation. Lead technology change initiatives to achieve business outcomes and oversee technology implementation and modifications.
Champion the documentation of technology architecture designs and analysis. Lead the creation of system architecture documentation and diagrams, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment across teams.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 8 years of relevant experience in system architecture.
Experience with SAP ERP systems (procure-to-pay), ARIBA, Tactical/Predictive Procurement, Inventory Management, and demand planning tools is preferred.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
