Pay Range: $25-35/hour, depending on experience and capabilities
Summary:
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process to ensure that they meet the quality and reliability standards set by the organization. The Quality Assurance Inspector will work closely with management and engineering staff to interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and determine quality and reliability standards. This position also involves evaluating data and writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs incoming inspection, in process inspection and final inspections using Faro Arms and hand tools including calipers, micrometer, height gage, thread gage, etc.
- Performs mechanical inspection using CMM with CMM manager software.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Perform inspections and generate Certificates of Conformance as required or directed.
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure conformance to requirements.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Computer Skills:
- Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Daily record keeping according to company policies.
- Faro Arm and CMM programming skills is a plus

Other Qualifications:
Inspection Experience - Mechanical and Process
Auditor Experience - Internal and External
Basic Understanding of ISO 9000 or AS9100 Standard
Knowledge of JobBoss and Unipoint is a plus
