Store Associate / Expeditor

Value Added Distributors, LLC is looking for a driven, hardworking, and enthusiastic Store Associate / Expeditor to join our Transmotion team at our Iron Mountain location full-time. Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Day Shift

Overview

The Store Associate works with the Sales and Customer Services Representatives to fulfill orders and provide customer service for Transmotion at the Iron Mountain location.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist the location sales representative(s) with sales and customer service duties.
• Promptly answer and fulfill orders for walk-in over-the-counter customers.
• Assemble hydraulic hose assemblies to over-the-counter customer specifications
• Promptly answer and respond to incoming phone calls from customers and vendors.
• Seek to understand customer relationships to recognize, and take advantage of, opportunities to grow the business, while improving internal processes.
• Effectively process orders and quotes.
• Conscientiously update and organize customer files and contracts.
• Confirm Purchase Order are received at suppliers and examine quantity, pricing, and delivery date
• Contact suppliers and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates of purchase orders and inform departments affected by the whole company
• Work with location sales representative(s) to efficiently manage delivery times.
• Maintain customer accounts and efficiently process customer and vendor returns and credits.
• Support continuous improvement and quality objectives.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer Service experience.

Essential Physical / Mental Requirements

• Interacting with employees, suppliers, or customers to meet position and business requirements.
• Requires the ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds using proper lifting techniques.

• Ability to apply general pricing and math knowledge.
