VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions. Due to growth, we are seeking candidates for Environmental Test/Vibration Technician. The Vibration Test Technician is responsible for performing testing and evaluation on a variety of products to the provisions of customer or internal specifications. The position requires understanding of military and commercial vibration and environmental test standards, generating reports and effective communication with peers and customers. The role will require ability to perform Etu functional testing during vibration, shock and environmental test exposure.

- Set-up and performance of vibration & shock tests. experience with ETS 1045 and ETS H2565A shakers a plus
- Interpret test plans and specifications
- Gather necessary support equipment for testing (controllers, accelerometers, fixtures)
- Program vibration profiles to run tests and record required data
- Have familiarity with test standards (mil 810 etc.)
- Data collection utilizing vibration control systems, accelerometers, force sensors, thermocouples, strain gages, etc.
- Maintain logbook documentation throughout the course of testing including detailed notes about anomalies
- Generate environmental test reports & maintain test records within data repository
- Communicate with test engineer and environmental test Engr supervisor about progress, test anomalies, and other issues
- Good mechanical inclination and ability to demonstrate hands-on experience and be detail oriented
- Ability to program environmental chambers
Maintain & Repair Equipment
- Understand basic operation of equipment used (shakers, controllers, etc.)
- Troubleshoot/identify problems with equipment
- Perform necessary repairs and maintenance
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in vibration and shock testing
- Ability to understand the different types of sensors and how to read the outputs of those sensors including, iepe, charge, strain, and other sensors
- Data acquisition background
- Ability to program environmental chambers. experience with csz and russel chambers a plus.
- Ability to understand the feedback system of shaker control and where potential issues may arise
- Experience in vibration, shock, halt/hass, or thermal testing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum electronics certification from accredited two-year technical or four-year engineering school
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as electronics technician in manufacturing test environment
- Troubleshooting, identification of electronic and mechanical failure modes
- Using test instruments like multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies, etc.
- Basic networking knowledge required
- Reading and understanding schematics, datasheets and written work instructions
