SUMMARY:
VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of embedded computing solutions. Due to continued growth, we are seeking candidates for the position of Selective Soldering Technician. The Selective Soldering Technician will be responsible for programming, running, and performing the preventive maintenance on the Selective Solder Machines.
Requirements:RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure machine, tools and equipment are maintained, and in good, working condition.
- Organize with team coordinator and supervisor to plan for daily production priority within department to meet or exceed interface delivery schedules (effectively schedule and prioritize daily work that lines with customer delivery plan).
- Create product specific programs to apply solder to precise locations on the printed circuit boards
- Monitor soldering process to ensure quality standards are met, by performing x-ray inspection to verify barrel fill and visually inspect solder joints to meet IPC-A-610 and make adjustments as needed.
- Maintain documentation and logs of equipment issues, maintenance and quality checks.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and process problems. escalate issues as required.
- Establish area daily goals and work with team members to achieve those goals.
- Maintain a clean and highly organized area, participating in lean manufacturing 5S activities and projects.
- Participate in continuous improvement by looking for opportunities for improvement and working projects as assigned by supervisor.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 year of experience Selective Soldering.
- Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
- General computer skills
- Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

ENVIRONMENT:
- Indoors/Manufacturing floor
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear and foot protection.
- Ability to handle and lift objects weighing at least 25 lbs.
