We are seeking an experienced and proactive Part-Time Recruiter to support the staffing needs at VAERO. This role will focus on sourcing, screening, and hiring both technical and professional candidates, including skilled mechanics, machinists, and professionals in engineering, supply chain, and leadership positions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruiting across a diverse range of roles and a proven track record of successful fill.
This is a part-time position with an expected commitment of 25 hours per week. The recruiter will work closely with the HR team and hiring managers to ensure the successful staffing of key positions at the VAERO site.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to final offer, for technical and professional roles.
- Source and attract qualified candidates for positions including, but not limited to, mechanics, machinists, material handlers, engineers, supply chain professionals, and other roles as needed.
- Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies, utilizing job boards, social media, industry events, and networking.
- Conduct interviews and assess candidates’ technical skills, qualifications, and cultural fit.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and ensure a strong alignment between candidate profiles and organizational needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline the hiring process and ensure timely recruitment efforts.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and provide regular status updates on active searches.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in recruitment, with a focus on both technical and professional roles in manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or other related area of study.
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills, with the ability to screen for both technical proficiency and cultural fit.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and industrial environments is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relations with candidates and hiring managers.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
