Salary Range : $50,000
Location : Home location will be either the Hopkins or Ramsey Clubhouse, but at times way be requested to spend days at any of our 3 clubhouse locations in either Hopkins, Ramsey or Uptown.

As a Community Support Generalist at Vail Communities, you'll work in a uniquely supportive and collaborative setting alongside adults living with mental illness. Our community-based approach to recovery uses ordinary daily activities to connect staff with members, members with each other, and everyone to their strengths and talents.
In this role, you will be instrumental in planning and coordinating work tasks, supporting goal setting and job development through training and support at transitional employment sites. You will model encouragement, appreciation, and a focus on abilities, all aimed at helping members see and hear themselves as valued participants within the Clubhouse community.

What will you do?
The Community Support Generalist's responsibilities include planning and coordinating work tasks with small and large groups, assisting Clubhouse members in developing health and wellness, vocational, educational, and housing goals and objectives, and more. The Community Support Generalist engages with Clubhouse members as colleagues in meaningful work and encourages and engages with people who might not yet believe in themselves. Community Support Generalists lead and model through encouragement, appreciation, and a focus on abilities while allowing for and accommodating the needs of an individual served. The Community Support Generalist develops relationships with Clubhouse members with an end goal of seeing and hearing themselves as valued participants within the Clubhouse community. This role may have some individualization of focus, e.g., health and wellness, vocational / transitional employment, data, and social recreation, as the community and its needs develop and evolve.
Education and Experience
- BA or BS in human services or related area, or BSW with valid and current Social Work licensure, or Community Health Worker (CHW) certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in mental health or human services.
- Must have and maintain a valid Minnesota Driver’s License, maintain automobile coverage, and have access to an automobile.
