Job Summary
The PC Technician, Supervisor is an on-site IT position that is responsible for supervising PC Technicians, including onboarding and training, providing daily direction, managing time and labor, executing performance reviews and guiding employee development. This position also provides direction for, coordinates, and executes day-to-day support, maintenance, and assistance for all IT hardware at a Vail Resorts location, as well as other locations at the company. This position is responsible for procurement and providing budget input honed developed leadership skills to mentor junior PC Techs, prioritize safety and guest service, and live the company’s core values to deliver excellent IT support. The Supervisor uses a work ticket management system to track progress and document solutions. The Supervisor works as part of the local and company-wide IT team to proactively identify problems and facilitate resolutions, install and repair hardware/software in a Windows Client/Server LAN environment, and coordinate with business group leaders to support multiple point-of-sale systems in a manner that provides the Experience of a Lifetime for IT users and guests.
Responsibilities:
Be Safe:
- Prioritize and provide leadership for personal, coworker and guest safety in all aspects of your work.

- Is competent supporting most Vail Resorts internal applications and systems, addressing issues that can be resolved locally and escalating as appropriate.
- Use the work ticket management system to manage total work flow for support tickets in alignment with company metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Create plans for small to medium-sized projects, lead and execute them.
- Serve as the local IT point of contact in the IT manager’s absence.
- Coordinate and support the relocation and re-installation of IT equipment in offices, outlets, special event sites, etc.
- Provide exceptional guest service supporting users and collaborating with coworkers, ensuring the Experience of a Lifetime.
- On-board, train and mentor PC Techs.
Drive Value for the Company:
- Provide support for resort and remote-location sales points and peripherals.
- Lead support efforts for multiple Vail Resorts systems by working effectively with system support teams and coordinating with local managers.
- Lead PC Techs to provide end-user support of IT-approved technology, including workstations, printers, telephones, time clocks, etc.
- Lead PC Techs to configure, track, maintain and properly dispose of IT-approved technology, including workstations, point of sale systems, hand-held devices, peripherals, etc.
- Investigate and provide recommendations to leadership on new technology. Configure, create procedures for using and execute the roll-out of this technology across the enterprise.
- Support and actively participate in cross-enterprise IT teams or working groups.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation, as assigned.
- Strive for continual improvement and growth by actively participating in general, leadership and IT-specific training.
- Suggest, develop and embrace new ideas and tactics for improving user support and the guest experience.
- Display a strong working knowledge of Vail Resorts IT organizational structure and processes.
- Coordinate resolution of and disseminate information regarding IT incidents.
- Supervise and direct PC Techs.
- Support and actively participate in cross-enterprise teams or working groups.
- Assist local IT manager with developing and managing budgets.
- Responsible for purchasing/procurement activities.

Requirements:
- Positive, enthusiastic, and friendly.
- Solution oriented with desire to learn new skills.
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure support needs within an enterprise environment, with a focus on enterprise systems. Ski industry knowledge preferred.
- Able to demonstrate a people-first mentality when leading the team, tapping into employees' passions and helping to shape their development within the company.
- Able to form strong partnerships with business leaders
- The ability to develop basic project plans, understanding project requirements, ensuring vendor engagement, ensuring cross-functional teams meet deadlines, and reporting on progress.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Able to move 50 lbs (with assistance if needed).
- Should be able to work a schedule that can include weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- Ability to ski or snowboard at intermediate level, or desire to learn.
- Valid US driver’s license.
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $61,286.70 - $79,530. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
