Job Overview
Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery seeks a highly skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and X-Ray scanners to produce high-quality radiographic images for diagnostic purposes.
This is a PRN position with opportunities in Edwards, Frisco, and Vail, CO.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, communicate with different audiences in a simple, clear and concise manner, and work under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Interview patients to explain specific radiologic procedures and ensure patient safety.
- Position patients on examining tables and set up and adjust equipment to obtain optimum views of specific body areas as requested by radiologists.
- Use patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who can provide exceptional patient care and maintain confidentiality of Personal Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with company Policies and State and Federal laws.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to properly operate required equipment.
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Program required.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) license as an RT, MR(C).
- BLS certification required.
