Responsibilities Qualifications Benefits & Compensation
- This position will provide support to the Senior Manager of Grant Development on all grant and foundation fundraising needs, supporting grant revenue.
- Acquire and maintain sound knowledge and understanding of all VVF programs, to better understand all projects and programs for which grants will be sought and recommend grants to seek.
- Conduct the full range of activities required to identify, prepare, and submit, grant proposals across diverse grant funding sources.
- Compile, write, and edit all grant applications exhibiting strong writing skills and a high-level command of grammar and spelling.
- Develop individual grant proposals in accordance with each grant-making organization's preferences and guidelines.
- Provide regular written updates/reports to current and past funders.
- Prepare grant award summaries for internal tracking and coding purposes.
- Use company systems and manage the process of supplying progress reports when required, assuring that all grant obligations are fulfilled.
- Maintain grant calendar, track grant reports and application deadlines and research new grant opportunities.
- Assist with donor benefit fulfillment, manage FLFT RSVPs, and handle billing responsibilities.
- Serve as secondary administrative support for all events, including list management, and event check-in/nametags.
- Create and update Formstacks for various donor events throughout the year
- Create and update marketing requests for various donor communications throughout the year.
- Create, update, and distribute the Development Calendar on a weekly basis to ensure adequate team coverage at events.
- Create, update, and distribute May Gallery guest lists for all Vilar events and Borgen Plaza guest lists for GRFA events.
- Schedule and take notes of meeting minutes for relevant meetings, as needed
- Support with agenda creation and materials for team meetings.
- Support Database team with monthly renewal mailings.
- Provide general administrative support for the Development Department.
- Be the first point of contact for incoming supporting gift donations.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferred. Or a combination of relevant experience in grant development, nonprofit operations, or related areas.
- Ability to compile, write, and edit grant applications with a high level of command over grammar and spelling.
- Proficiency in scheduling meetings, taking notes, supporting agenda creation, and providing general administrative support.
- Capacity to work independently as part of a strong team.
- Strong leadership, initiative, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent management and organizational skills, ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with flexibility, the capacity to generate innovative solutions and strategies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to provide support to the greater Vail Valley Foundation staff as available and necessary.
- Experience with or capacity to learn Microsoft Office Suite, Blackbaud, Formstack, and other systems, preferred.
