Base Area Attendant - Full Time, Year Round, Vail Mountain
The Base Ops Department is looking for a motivated individual to join our team, and help us preserve the plazas and facilities at the base of the mountain.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- The Base Area Attendant needs to exhibit strong internal and external guest service skills, while maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests.
- Act in a supporting role to various events throughout the year such as the Burton US OPEN, 2015 World Alpine Ski Championships, Go Pro Mountain Games, Town of Vail Events, etc.
- Snow removal and snow/ plaza interface work.
- Will repair, clean, and maintain all trash/ recycling receptacles throughout the different seasons.
- Work with other departments such as Environmental, Mountain Services, Security, and Grooming to build and maintain cohesive working relationships.
- Must exhibit ability driving oversize trucks and be comfortable operating vehicles in tight areas such as loading docks, parking lots, etc.
- Assist with the parking team when needed.
- Overall cleanliness and appearance of all base areas.
- Will work 4, 10 hour shifts in a week.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED- required
- Valid Driver’s License- required
- Read, Write, and Speak English Fluently- required
- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical labor- required
- Ability to work outside in extreme mountain conditions- required
- Ability to operate a manual transmission- preferred
- Fluent Spanish- preferred
