The drama of rock and sky, the sheer grandeur of this place, is one reason. That it is North America's World Cup mountain is another. It is also a place of intimacy. We are seeking cooks of all experience levels for a fast paced dining and retail cafe restaurant in Beaver Creek Village. The cook position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Running a station and following standardized recipes and completing given assignments in a fast paced creperie and cafe
- Guest service and cash handling required as well as point of sale skills.
- Communicates with the Chef manager and follows detailed instructions both oral and written.
- Maintains a safe environment in the store
- Takes responsibility for the product used and manages it to assure quality
- Must practice good personal hygiene and safe food handling skills
- Other duties include stocking, maintaining and cleaning service area and properly stores/covers all food items and rotate products for freshness
- Helps the Chef maintain all par levels for the kitchen
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Entry Level:
- High School diploma or equivalent - required
- Able to speak, comprehend, and understand English - required
- Able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays - required
- Able to lift and carry 50lbs - required
- Able to talk and hear directions in a loud kitchen environment - required
- Able to assure safe and clean work condition for all personnel - required
- Able to work in a loud, hot kitchen for up to 8 hours during a shift - required
- Must follow all policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage Department and Vail Resorts - required
- Must be willing to cross-train with the cashier position - required
- Previous cooking experience - required
Intermediate Level:
- All qualifications of an Entry Level cook
- 6-12 months experience working in a kitchen or cafe environment - required
