Job Summary
The role of the Customer Insights Analyst is to analyze primary research data, develop and own reporting, and provide insights to both corporate and resort management. The analyst must be able to integrate primary research, secondary research, and an understanding of the broader business context to facilitate fact-based decision making.
Job Responsibilities
- Research development and execution. This position is responsible for defining research needs/objectives, methodology development, project management, data analysis, report building, and results communication. 2 years prior experience required.
- Consulting to understand the research needs of marketing and operations partners (resort COOs, resort marketing managers, corporate marketing teams, etc.). This position will act as research lead for key departments focused on providing strategic insight, forming a trusted relationship, and staying ahead of upcoming business decisions.
- Working knowledge of marketing research best practices. This position will ensure data integrity, extract and integrate data from various sources, and prepare datasets for reporting/analysis.
- Strong analytical skills. The ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations using fundamental marketing research and statistical techniques.
- Report development and presentation skills. Results from research analysis will be integrated into written reports for resort-wide distribution and presentation (resort COOs, resort marketing managers, corporate marketing teams, etc.).
- Weekly and year-end compilation of ski season data. We collect demographic, guest satisfaction, and ad-hoc data throughout ski season, and deliver that data to multiple stakeholders throughout the company.
- Programming and revision of surveys in direct data entry devices and web-based formats.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience including: design and analysis of research, managing relationships, and providing actionable insights
- Knowledge of, or desire to work in, resort / tourism industry preferred
- Excellent use of personal computers and software typically used in market research including MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with SPSS and/or SAS syntax and advanced statistical knowledge is preferred
- Ability to re-think efficiencies of reporting through dashboards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and comprehend English fluently
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multi task and prioritize projects, while working independently
- Must be comfortable interacting with the highest levels of the company
- Some travel to mountain resorts required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, Statistics, or other quantitative field required
