Experienced Carpenter - Summer, Seasonal – Heavenly – South Lake Tahoe, CA
Job Summary: Carpenters are responsible for assisting with construction and maintenance of buildings and properties. Specifically, this summer, we will be working on a number of advanced carpentry projects both on-mountain and at our base-locations.
The following qualifications are sought:
- Knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety.
- Proficient at the following tasks: stain-grade trim work, hang doors, drill and set door hardware, set windows, layout for stairs and common rafters, read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills.
- Able to read blueprints.
- Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material estimates.
- Able to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED, required
- Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record, required
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 6 hours
- Ability to communicate in English
- Adept at establishing relationships with all parties involved in the construction process that facilitate harmonious working relationships during project, and permit prompt resolution of problems and conflicts as they occur.
