What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant AM & PM- Full time/ Summer Seasonal- Canyons Resort in Park City, UT position at vailresorts.valhalla.stage?
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
Tend laundering machines to clean articles such as bed and table linens, bath towels, robes, and uniforms. Store, inventory, and issue or distribute bed and table linens, and towels.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow The Resort’s etiquette guidelines.
- Load articles into washer and add specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.
- Start machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
- Lift clean, wet laundry from washer and place them into the dryers for measured time cycles.
- Fold dried linens and towels before placing them on labeled shelves.
- Inventory all linens and towels.
- Examine all laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability.
- Conduct inventories to identify items in need of replacement. Keep laundry area in a clean orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP
- Reports to Assistant Director of Housekeeping
- Receives direction from Laundry Supervisor
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, lift and carry heavy objects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school education, or up to one month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to add, to subtract, to multiply, and to divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
