Lift Maintenance Helper I - Summer Seasonal 2014, Full Time, Vail Mountain
The Vail Lift Maintenance Department is always busy during the summer maintaining and repairing the entire fleet of chair lifts and gondolas on Vail Mountain. If you have technical skills and experience please apply to join our team.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Performs routine and non-routine maintenance on ski lifts and other Lift Department areas of responsibility under the direction of the Maintenance Mechanics.
- Assure that the section manager and/or foreman is immediately informed and consulted on all abnormal or unusual conditions.
- Inspects, cleans, and repairs lift equipment as directed.
- Operates lifts for all mechanics doing maintenance work.
- Responsible for following company safety policy.
Qualifications:
- Read, write and speak english - required.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of lift operations - required.
- Must be able to obtain a valid Colorado Driver's license upon hire - required.
- High school education or equivalent - required.
- Must become tower-climbing certified through the company - required.
- Able to work at heights - required.
- Previous lift operating experience necessary - required.
- Previous mechanical experience helpful - required.
- Able to identify and use basic tools - required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs - required.
