The RockResorts Spa® at The Lodge at Vail offers a spa experience of unmatched luxury, comfort, and versatility. The Spa Massage Therapist is key element in creating this experience. A Spa Massage Therapist is responsible for providing spa guests with safe and effective massage and various therapy services while consistently exceeding guest expectations. Demonstrates respect, sensitivity and concern for guest’s needs in a professional manner. Maintains and monitors work schedules as booked, exercising dependability and willingness to work with schedule flexibility. Upholding company standards of conduct, grooming, dress, and personal hygiene. Perform daily routine of set-up and break-down procedures of massage rooms; maintains a neat and well-stocked room.
Essential Job Functions:
- Have complete knowledge of all Spa Services, Packages, Promotions, and retail products presently offered by the spa.
- Maintains professional relationships with spa clientele.
- Educate guest about products used and recommend products for home use
- Begin and end all treatments on time, adhering to the appointment book and guest scheduling.
- Keep work areas clean and treatment rooms organized according to standards.
- Have knowledge of and suggest to guest other beneficial treatments offered in spa.
- Complete client product cards after each body treatment.
- Understand and use universal precautions and sanitary procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or the equivalent. -required
- Must possess current licenses and certificates for massage therapy as required by the state, county, city/town. -required
- Must have a minimum of 500 hours certified education in massage. -required
- One year experience in body massage treatments. -preferred
- Previous Spa Experience. -preferred
- Must attend product knowledge training. -required
- First Aid and CPR training. -preferred
- Must possess the skill required to perform various types of massage, e.g., Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Aromatherapy, etc. -required
- Must be proficient in all components of massage therapy, e.g., anatomy, physiology, etc. -required
- Must be proficient in doing a variety of body and hydrotherapy treatments, e.g, exfoliations, masks, hydro-tubs, etc. -required
- Must have the ability to work under pressure without letting that pressure show to the guest. -required
