Mechanic - Year Round, Full Time, Vail Mountain
Vail Mountain Fleet Maintenance is looking for an experienced mechanic to join our team. Mechanics at Vail are tasked with servicing a variety of vehicles.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Performs maintenance and repairs indoor & outdoors on multiple types of equipment.
- Performs in depth checks of repaired equipment.
- Performs repairs on snowcats, motor vehicles, and other equipment.
- Small and large engine repairs.
Qualifications:
- Must have working knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, welding, fabricating - required.
- Minimum of two years hands on experience working on various types of equipment, and emphasis on working on snowcats - preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair these types of equipment - required.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays - required.
- 3-5 years of experience - required.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs - required.
- This position requires working in all positions, including on knees, crawling, overhead, and frequently moving heavy objects in awkward positions - required.
