Beaver Creek: At the gate, you leave everyday life behind. That's why people travel to Beaver Creek, Colorado from all over the world, and many make it a tradition. The drama of rock and sky, the sheer grandeur of this place, is one reason. That it is North America's World Cup mountain is another. It is also a place of intimacy. A private resort hidden from view, with the power to bring people together.
The Steward is responsible for the cleaning of all kitchens to include; restaurant equipment, kitchen equipment, vents, floors, drains and walls. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Washes, and properly racks, all china, glass, silver, pots and culinary utensils
- Assists Chefs, in receiving items and properly storing them
- Ensures that all kitchen areas are kept clean, neat and well stocked
- Keeps hallways free of obstructions, floors swept and scrubbed, clean/dry and responsible for frequent trash removal
- Responsible for the operation of dishwasher
- Assists with resort recycling efforts by ensuring all items are properly sorted in a neat and orderly manner
- The steward will work in a hot steamy environment and is also responsible for in-depth cleaning of all walk-in freezers and refrigerators, ovens, stoves and pantries
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent - preferred
- Prior experience working in a fast paced restaurant - required
- Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs - required
- Knowledge of sanitation - preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English - required
- Must be able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends - required
- Must be able to work in a hot kitchen environment up to 8 hours during a shift - required
- In person interviews - preferred
