Vail Mountain Dining Barista - Winter Sesaonal, Full Time
The Vail Mountain Dining Barista can make the day of any guest! From an early morning "pick me up" to a hot drink to warm up after a cold day on the slopes the Barista plays an important role on our team.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- The barista provides friendly and courteous service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic coffee drinks and snacks to guests, while following state laws and corporate guidelines.
- Ensures smooth, efficient and sanitary espresso bar operations, as well as proper cash handling with the goal of accuracy and exceptional guest service.
- Must maintain stock levels throughout the day.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs - required.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours - required.
- Must be fluent in English - required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age - required.
- Must have or obtain valid TiPS certification upon employment (will provide training) - required.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays including: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, December 26th through January 2nd, Presidents’ Day Weekend, and any other holidays as requested - required.
- High School diploma or equivalent - preferred.
- Previous barista experience - preferred.

Express Lift
Before you hop on Gondola One to start your day, stop by the Express Lift in Mountain Plaza to grab a breakfast sandwich, muffin, danish, croissant, fruit bread or bagel, as well as Starbuck’s coffee, espresso, cappuccino or latte! For lunch, we have brats, hot dogs, paninis, soup and chili. Be sure and come to Express Lift for après to cozy up around the fireplace or sit on the outdoor patio and watch skiers and riders try to brave the black faces of Pepi’s and Head First. This is an excellent place to unwind at the end of day. We have a wide variety of import, Colorado micro and domestic beers, as well as wine and several hand-crafted cocktails. Open winter only.
Grand Press
Take a break from the slopes with a Starbuck’s coffee, cappuccino, espresso or hot chocolate. Try one of our signature cocktails next to the warm fire. The Grand Press is located in the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola in the Adventure Ridge Main Activities Center building. A daily selection of soups and fresh baked goods are available to complement your beverage of choice. Open winter only.
