Vail Village Starbucks Store Manager - Full Time - Year Round - Vail, CO
Located in the heart of Vail Village just before the covered bridge, the Vail Starbucks is a thriving place to get warmed up after a run down the slopes in the winter and an amazing spot to sit and chat with friends and family after a summer time hike.
As a Store Manager, your Starbucks store will be an important part of local community. You will help your store and employees make connections with the customers they see every day. You will be responsible for full range of management functions including but not limited to: planning and strategy, department oversight, P & L accountability, training, interviewing and staffing the store appropriately. The store manager is also responsible for external relationships and compliance to all Vail Resorts and Starbucks brand standards.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to; independently leading store operations and employees on a consistent and daily basis, interviewing, hiring and staffing the store appropriately, customer satisfaction, product quality, financial performance and team development.
• Provide direction, leadership and expertise to the Starbucks location.
• Can clearly communicate needed information to partners, guests, direct supervisor and or any other entity that directly impacts the stores ultimate operational functionality and success, in a timely and professional manner.
• Directs day to day work of employees within the Starbucks location; organizes and delegates daily workload.
• Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together.
• Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results.
• Providing the team with positive coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams.
• Enforces Vail Resorts and Starbucks policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Provides initial and ongoing training and guidance to staff.
• Must have a thorough understanding of all tasks and duties for which all of the work groups are responsible for.
• Solicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the local community.
• Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates appropriate responsibilities and practices to store employees to ensure the smooth flow of operations. Utilizes all community and company resources and leverages these in an appropriate manner when building effective relationships with all people: up, down and sideways inside and outside of Starbucks.
• Provides inital and ongoing training, coaching and direction to the store team to take action and to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent. -required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other Computer Functions. -required
- Strong oral and written communication skills. -required
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. -required
- Strong problem solving skills. -required
- Strong operational skills in a customer service environment. -required
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload. -required
- Ability to manage daily store operations independently. -required
- Must have 1 year guest service experience. -required
- Must have 1 year supervisory experience. -required
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. -required
- Must be able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours at a time. -required
- Previous coffee shop experience. -preferred
