Job Title: Golf Course Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Golf Course Manager to oversee the daily operations of our golf course and clubhouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Golf Course Manager, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the golf course operations, including employee scheduling, procurement of supplies, event planning, facility maintenance, payroll management, and contractor coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Management:
- Manage the employee schedule, including scheduling shifts, assigning duties, and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
- Provide leadership, training, and supervision to golf course staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee wages.
Procurement and Inventory Management:
- Source and purchase supplies, including beverages, food items, and other necessities for the clubhouse and golf course operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Order parts and equipment necessary for golf course maintenance and repair.
Event Planning:
- Plan and coordinate events, tournaments, and special promotions to enhance customer engagement and revenue generation.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote events and attract participants.
Clubhouse Oversight:
- Ensure that the clubhouse facilities are clean, well-maintained, and properly functioning at all times.
- Address any issues related to clubhouse operations promptly and efficiently.
- Contractor Coordination:
- Liaise with contractors, including electricians, plumbers, and other service providers, to address maintenance and repair needs.
- Schedule and oversee maintenance tasks and renovations to ensure minimal disruption to golf course operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in golf course management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of golf industry operations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Proficiency in computer software applications
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Knowledge of payroll administration processes and experience with payroll software is preferred.
- Experience in event planning and coordination is a plus.
