Job Title: Drone Operator - Military Training Operations
We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated Drone Operators to support military training operations. The successful candidates will operate unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in a variety of training scenarios, providing real-time support for tactical exercises and battlefield simulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drone Operations: Operate UAS during live and simulated military training exercises, ensuring precise execution of flight plans.
- Mission Planning: Collaborate with training coordinators to develop and implement drone missions tailored to specific training objectives.
- Data Collection: Capture and process video, images, and other sensor data to support after-action reviews and mission analysis.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UAS equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines, ensuring compliance with military standards, FAA regulations, and all Company SOP's.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with military personnel, trainers, and other operators to ensure smooth integration of drones into training scenarios.
- Scenario Simulation: Utilize drones to replicate adversary movements, deliver payloads, or create environmental challenges in training exercises.
- Reporting: Provide reports on drone operations, including mission outcomes, equipment status, and identified improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to pass a background check and hold a clearance. Existing Secret Clearance preferred.
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification required, additional certifications in drone operation or related technologies are a plus.
- All 24 Month FAA Part 107 Small UAS Recurrent Training requirements must not fall during the contracted opportunities.
- Prior experience operating drones in a professional or military setting.
- Proficiency in UAS operation, programming, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with military training environments and protocols is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of GPS navigation, drone mapping software, and video analysis tools.
- Position requires close customer contact, strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently and creatively in high-pressure environments and adapt to changing scenarios, adapting on the fly to quickly changing circumstances.
