Valbin Corporation is seeking customer focused, skilled and dedicated Drone Operators to support military training operations. The successful candidates will operate unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in a variety of training scenarios, providing real-time support for tactical exercises and battlefield simulations. This role requires technical proficiency, situational awareness, adaptability, the ability to navigate, and the ability to work closely with military personnel to achieve mission objectives.
The ideal candidate is likely ex-military, and may have been a MOS 15W - RQ7 Operator. Contract based, work is remote at various bases in CONUS.
Key Responsibilities
Under the Range Operation Manager's Guidance, conduct :
- Drone Operations : Operate UAS during live and simulated military training exercises, ensuring precise execution of flight plans.
- Mission Planning : Collaborate with training coordinators to develop and implement drone missions tailored to specific training objectives.
- Data Collection : Capture and process video, images, and other sensor data to support after-action reviews and mission analysis.
- Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UAS equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines, ensuring compliance with military standards, FAA regulations, and all Company SOP's.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with military personnel, trainers, and other operators to ensure smooth integration of drones into training scenarios. This includes the ability to walk with units up to 4 miles during training unit movement, across rocky or wooded terrain, in all weather conditions, during day or night operations.
- Scenario Simulation : Utilize drones to replicate adversary movements, deliver payloads, or create environmental challenges in training exercises.
- Reporting : Provide reports on drone operations, including mission outcomes, equipment status, and identified improvements.
